2006 BBC Radio 3 Awards for World Music |
| Yat-Kha have been nominated for the 2006 BBC Radio 3 Awards for World Music - for the first time since our inaugral Awards in 2002!
The winners will be announced on Saturday February 18 on a live edition of Radio 3's World Routes, and the Poll Winners Concert will take place at the Brixton Academy on Friday April 7. |

Yat-Kha on UK Radio 1 |
| The popular Radio 1 show presented by Huw Stevens will be playing a track from Recovers on Tuesday 19th. The show is a replacement for the late great John Peel and we are very pleased to have some Tuvan music featured on a national pop and rock station. The show goes out at 11.00 pm GMT and is broadcast live over the internet or archived so you can listen to it at your leisure.

Yat-Kha welcomes a new member |
| Sholban Mongush is the son of Kan-ool Mongush who was playing with me in 1987 and then again in 1996-97. We did some recordings and two track you can hear on Yenisei Punk CD remastered version ( number 12 and 13). The Kan-ool was the lead singer in first Tuvan band "Arbai-Khoor". Sholban's mother was a dancer in the Tuvan State Ensemble "Sayany" for 20 years. Sholban himself studied piano for 8 years at the Kyzyl City, Children's School of Arts.He graduted from the Academy of Finance and Economy in St.-Petersburg and even worked as an accountant for few years but then his genes called him back to music. Ustuu-Khure |
| Yat-Kha support one charitable music festival Ustuu-Khure which runs every year near at the ruins of biddhist temple will happen on 4-7 of July near Chadaana town at beautiful countryside.
The main ideas of the festival: re-creating the temple ruined by communists that has been the spiritual and cultural center of Tuva in beggining of XX century; revival of Faith and Live Music of any styles... |
